THE TOUGHEST ULTRACYCLING RACE
The Badlands Race is one of the most challenging ultracycling events in Europe, often considered one of the toughest in the world. It’s an unsupported gravel race that takes place in the southern region of Spain, primarily in Andalusia. The race covers approximately 800 kilometers with more than 16,000 meters of elevation gain.
The route takes participants through some of Spain’s most extreme and beautiful landscapes, including the Gorafe Desert and the Tabernas Desert, often referred to as Europe’s only true deserts. Riders also traverse the Sierra Nevada and Cabo de Gata Natural Park, facing harsh terrains, extreme heat during the day, and cold nights…
BIKEPACKING TRANSPYRENEES
The Transpyr route had been on my mind for a while, so when I received a message from Marti earlier this year proposing we do it this summer, I couldn’t say no. Within two hours, we had already locked in our dates. A few days later, I asked Joan if he wanted to join us, and to my surprise, he was already planning to do the Transpyr with Pere, Alexia, Bet, and Santi. Since we had everything set, they decided to join our plan.
We crafted a challenging route across the entire Pyrenees Mountain Range—from left to right, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, from Hondarribia to Cap de Creus. We planned to cover 1,069 kilometers and climb 22,090 meters in just six stages. This was going to be a massive challenge, especially since we carried everything we needed: clothes, tools, and spare parts, making our bikes 8-9 kg heavier. We weren’t racing, so we rode at a comfortable pace, taking breaks to eat and cool down from the heat. Our accommodations were pre-booked, so each day we had to reach our destination, no matter what.
Luck was on our side with the weather. We only encountered a couple of hours of rain, and while there were moments when the heat was intense, the rivers and fountains we found along the way provided much-needed relief…
8 ISLANDS CYCLING CHALLENGE
UNCOVERING JORDAN: A MIDDLE EAST GEM
THE LOST BACKROADS OF GRAN CANARIA
Pol Tarres and I are adventurers with experience. We’ve each taken numerous long trips visiting many places, so it was a great experience to ride together in Gran Canaria. I have known Pol for about a year, and we’ve shared several short rides together. But over four days in Gran Canaria, I got to know him better and discovered we are quite similar. We both don’t really like to talk much when we ride. First of all, because sometimes the terrain is very hard, and secondly, nothing can replace the experience of pedalling in paradise, alone with your thoughts…
BIKEPACKING JAPAN
This is what took to us to go from Kyoto to Kawasaki going from coast to coast of Honshu island: 10 days, 1.021km, +14.540m, 52:13h pedalling, 67 stops at the convenience stores, countless laughs, 17 hours suffering, 6 hours without feeling the feet, 1 flat, 150Gb of pictures, 14 lakes and 14 dams.
This wouldn’t had been possible without the ground work of Rob and PA Cycling for organising this whole trip and designing this amazing route…

DISCOVERING CRETE
Even I have the feeling that it has been ages since Covid struck, Ernest couldn’t come to this trip because of it. He was really sick and he had to stay home. However, we tried to make the most out of the trip and manage everything Johnny, Bet and I.
Johnny and Bet had never been Greece and I just stayed a couple of days a few years ago, and in Athens, so it was all new for us. To be honest, we didn’t know what to expect, because even we did some research to where to ride, it’s sometimes different what you see from the real vibe. However, as everywhere we go, always with a great mood and attitude to learn about the Cretan culture and enjoy our stay there…
EXPLORING BENASQUE VALLEY
Even this is changing, usually e-bikes are associated with lazy people or less fit people but this is not how we see them. We see them as a tool that helps us to ride more. And by more we mean more steep climbs or simply repeat the same easy one more times.
That is why we always try to find more alpine locations when we ride with the e-bike. Because we can ride a lot more than with the bikes without motors…
BLACK HILLS
As you probably already noticed we not only love to ride but also to create amazing content to share our point of view of our adventures. It is also true that we always try to go to unknown places and discover new trails and landscapes. However, for this summer enduro adventure we already knew what we would find. We have already been to Bardenas Reales (left picture) with these yellowish colours and to Tremp (right picture) with these orange tones, and we wanted to ride the famous grey and black ones from France…
FLANDES BIKE TOURING
GEORGIA
Even Georgia its 3800km away from Spain, its pretty easy to get there, from Barcelona there is a 4:30h flight to Kutaisi, the third most populous city and Georgia and one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. We arrived late evening and went to Batumi, capital of Adjara region, located on the coast of the Black Sea. We slept in “Hotel Diban Suites”, and the next morning we put all the lugagge back to the cars and drove to Goderdzi…
MADEIRA 360
Sitting in the middle of the Macaronesia, about 520km off the African coast, lies the island of Madeira. Rising from the bottom of the Atlantic, the island reaches more than 1800metres at its highest point and within a small area of 740km2, you can find different climates, contrasts and breathtaking views…
VAL D’ARAN
We decided to go to Val d’Aran because Ernest went there two years ago and told us that the area has a very alpine and spectacular la landscapes but he said it would be better to go with e-bikes since there are big slopes and high mountains….
THE ASSEMBLAGE
The idea of the video came from the bike “dreambuilt” videos that are are very popular. The video is just a mechanic building the bike step by step with the best parts and components out there. So we wanted to bring that into trials but giving it a bit more dynamism so we mixed some parts of the bike build with the riding…
