A VISIT TO SPORTFUL HQ

As I joined Sportful as my clothing partner this year, they invited me and the other ambassadors to watch the Strade Bianche and ride the Gran Fondo the day after. However, we all flew in a couple of days earlier to visit the Sportful HQ in Feltre.
I landed at Venice Airport, where Fede was waiting for me, along with Josie, Jesse and Max. I had already met Max a couple of months ago in Antalya, Turkey, during the Gran Fondo World Series, but it was my first time meeting Josie and Jesse. I was stoked for the whole weekend with them.
Fede and Mattia not only welcomed us, they also gave us a tour of the company, starting from the early days of Sportful and going through all the departments that make it what it is. We met a few people, mostly from marketing and communications. It was really cool to see everything from the inside, to feel the passion for cycling in every corner of the company, and to understand Sportful’s heritage. I’ve always loved understanding how things work, and that little tour was an amazing experience.
In the middle of the tour, Mattia pointed to a box and told me, “Hey Pol, look inside.” To my surprise, it was the custom kit they had prepared for me. It was an amazing moment, I didn’t expect it. I loved the colors too. It’s always super cool to see the real product after seeing mockups on a screen.
After the visit, we went to have dinner where we could get to know each other better. I’d say we clicked pretty quickly. We had a wonderful dinner and went to sleep, as the next day we were heading to Siena, where the Strade Bianche was taking place.
